모하메드 카짐((Mohammed Kazem, b.1969)은 두바이를 기반으로 활동하는 예술가로, 비디오, 사진, 퍼포먼스를 포함한 예술적 실천을 통해 자신을 둘러싼 환경과 경험을 새로운 방식으로 인식하고자 한다. 그는 음악가로서의 경험을 바탕으로 소리, 빛과 같은 일시적인 현상을 구체적인 형태로 드러내는 과정을 탐구한다. 때때로 작품 속에 자신을 위치시키며 지리적 위치, 물질성, 자연 요소와의 반응 지점을 고찰하는 작가는 아랍에미리트 건국 이후 급속한 현대화 과정에서 자신의 주체성을 확립하는 작업을 전개하고 있다.
카짐은 초기에 에미리트 미술협회(Emirates Fine Arts Society) 회원으로 활동했고, 하산 샤리프(Hassan Sharif), 압둘라 알 사디(Abdullah Al Saadi), 모하메드 아흐메드 이브라힘(Mohammed Ahmed Ibrahim), 후세인 샤리프(Hussain Sharif)와 함께 개념적·학제적 예술 실천의 선구자로 알려진 비공식 그룹 '파이브(Five)'의 일원으로 인정받고 있다.
