Related Program – Workshop Drawing Exercise
□ Program Overview
The Buk-Seoul Museum of Art presents the Drawing Exercise workshop in conjunction with the exhibition Take My Eyes Off.
Drawing Exercise is a workshop that reconstructs Rahm Parc’s 2014 performance piece 1st Drawing Exercise in the form of a participatory workshop. This new version simplifies the original instructions, allowing participants to engage freely and intuitively. It offers an open-ended experience of creation―one that unfolds endlessly through the mind.
The term “drawing (jakdo)” refers to the act of creating images, blueprints, or maps. Artist Rahm Parc expands on this definition―“creating forms through the act of drawing”―by proposing a method of drawing freely within the mind, beyond the physical constraints of the real world. In this workshop, participants follow instructions written on the surfaces of balloons, engaging in a drawing process that unfolds throughout the exhibition space via dots, lines, and planes. This act of drawing shapes or sculptures based on those elements becomes a way of exploring the form of the mind.
* Participation in this program is available on a first-come, first-served basis, with no prior registration required.
