Hwasoo Yoo’s work begins with a critical inquiry into how technological development is applied to labor and society, and how its benefits are distributed unevenly.
He focuses on the structural limits of advanced technologies designed around norms of “normality,” and the contradictions that arise when social problems are addressed through technological solutions. Yoo reveals the mechanisms of order and exclusion produced by technology, examining the tensions and fractures formed between technology, bodies, and environments.
