Shinae Kim understands the nature of the form as information itself, not as a fixed shape. So it doesn’t exist independently or absolutely, but more relatively. She has been trying to reveal the relationship between information in the space by using various materials. She studied painting in Hongik University, and received a diplom with Maeisterschuler in Akademie der Bildenden Kunste Munchen, Klasse Olaf Nicolai.
Her major works have been shown in Romantic storage (SeMA Storage, Seoul, 2022), Slicing space (Seetangraum, Jeju, 2022), Nothing Makes Itself (ARKO Art Center, Seoul, 2021), Not Just Tiny But Abstract (OCI Museum of Art, Seoul, 2019), Spiele mit der Ewigkeit (Grimmuseum, Berlin, 2018) and upsidesidedown (Project Space Sarubia, Seoul, 2015). She has participated in MMCA Residency Goyang in 2022.
