Ahn Jinkyun earned his B.F.A from Rhode Island School of Design in 2010, and an M.A from Royal College of Art in 2012. Solo exhibitions include Permanent Vacation (SeMA Storage, Seoul, 2022), Slice (Art Space BOAN2, Seoul, 2019), Hanged Man (Efremidis Gallery, Berlin, 2019), Hanged Man (Seoul Kindergarten, Seoul, 2016), Three Faces Two Places One Device (Hada Contemporary, London, 2014), On the Surface of Images (Phoenix Brighton, Brighton, 2012).
He has participated in group exhibitions at the Photographers‘ Gallery, London, UK; Alt. +1000 Photo Festival, Rossiniere, CH; Belfast Photo Festival, Belfast, UK; Korean Cultural Center UK, London, UK; РОСФОТО, Saint-Petersburg, RU. He published two artist books Hanged Man and Slice with Hezuk Press. He has been selected as the winner of Brighton Photo Fringe Award in 2012, as the selected artist at Belfast Photo Festival in 2013, Fresh Faced and Wild Eyed in 2013 and Foam Magzine #35 Talent. Residencies include SeMA Nanji Residency in 2023 and National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Residency Goyang in 2015.
