Welcome to Zip-In!, a celebration of the precious moments of everyday life, created and shared by the public.
Zip-In! is a participatory exhibition presented as a companion project to the 2026 Seoul Photo Festival's main exhibition, Come Back Home. Centered on the theme of "home"―the place closest to us and often the most comforting―the project invites the special moments people have discovered and recorded in their daily lives into the museum. Filled with photographs contributed by members of the public, the museum lobby becomes a space where the vivid stories of our neighbors unfold through a rich variety of images.
For this project, nearly 200 participants generously shared photographs that hold personal meaning. Rather than emphasizing technical perfection, the selection process focused on the qualities of everyday life and emotional resonance, resulting in the final selection of 32 works. Freed from the confines of the small screens in our hands, the selected photographs now take their place on the museum walls, while the remaining entries are brought together in a collective video presentation, ensuring that each participant's contribution remains part of the exhibition. Like stepping into a friendly neighbor's home, Zip-In! invites visitors to share in the warmth of one another's lives and to rediscover the special meaning held within their own homes and everyday moments.
Opened in May 2025 as Korea’s first public museum dedicated to photography, Photography Seoul Museum of Art (Photo SeMA) focuses on the creative potential of photography while encompassing the broader fields of photographic art and culture. Located in Chang-dong, Dobong-gu, the museum researches the history of Korean photography alongside the diverse practices and future possibilities of contemporary photography while collecting and preserving major works and archival materials related to Korean photographic history. Through its year-round exhibitions and programs, the museum presents experimental and creative approaches centered on photography. It is a space in which visitors can experience the artistic value of photography, deepen their understanding of the medium, and share ideas and interests through photography.
