The Seo-Seoul Museum of Art is Seoul’s first public museum dedicated to new media, envisioning itself as a social power plant connecting art and everyday life. Reflecting the distinctive character of southwestern Seoul-where memories of a former industrial district coexist with future-oriented industries such as information technology and fashion-the museum presents programs focused on new media, interdisciplinary art, and youth art education. Centered around local research, the Seo-Seoul Museum of Art seeks to build multidisciplinary regional networks while serving as an R&D hub that generates new values and experiences. The museum also supports artists exploring new forms of artistic expression grounded in media research.
