책생활들은 폭 넓은 분야의 도서를 공유하며, 동시대의 다양한 삶의 태도와 생각을 나누는 프로그램입니다.
2026년 책생활들은 낯선 도시를 발견하는 즐거움과 좋아하는 것을 오래 사랑하는 마음에 주목합니다. 김지윤·전은환이 전하는 세계 도시의 다채로운 이야기와 이종범·김민경의 취향 가득한 경험을 통해 각자의 관심사를 넓히고 일상에 새로운 영감을 발견합니다.
세션 ① 김지윤&전은환의 책생활들 : 서로의 취향 그리고 삶의 태도
2026년 책생활들의 첫 번째 자리에는 최근 함께『우리가 사랑한 도시』를 펴낸 김지윤과 전은환이 함께합니다. 책을 중심으로 세계 여러 도시의 풍경과 문화, 역사와 일상을 살펴보며 도시를 바라보는 다양한 시선과 그 시선을 만들어온 두 저자의 삶의 경험을 함께 나눕니다.

김지윤은 정치학 박사이자 지식 콘텐츠 크리에이터로, 정치, 역사, 문화 등 다양한 주제를 대중의 언어로 풀어내고 있다.『우리가 사랑한 도시』에서는 세계 여러 도시를 정치, 역사, 문화의 맥락에서 바라보며 도시를 새롭게 읽는 시선을 전한다.
전은환은 삼성전자 임원 출신으로, 글로벌 사업전략 분야에서 오랜 경력을 쌓았다. 현재는 다양한 지식 콘텐츠 활동을 이어가고 있으며, 정치·역사·문화 등 폭넓은 분야에 대한 관심을 바탕으로 대중과 소통하고 있다.

세션 ② 이종범&김민경의 책생활들 : 서로의 취향 그리고 삶의 태도
2026년 두번째 책생활들은 각자의 취향을 발견하고, 즐기며 나누는 방법에 대해 이야기합니다. 영화, 만화, 책, 여행 등 자신만의 관심사를 꾸준히 탐구해온 두 초청게스트의 경험을 통해 취향이 일상에 더하는 즐거움과 의미를 살펴봅니다. 나아가 좋아하는 것을 깊이 들여다보고 함께 나누는 일이 어떻게 삶을 윤택하게 만드는 다양한 방식을 함께 이야기하고자 합니다.

이종범은 웹툰 작가로, 『닥터 프로스트』를 오랜 기간 연재해왔다. 만화와 음악 등 자신이 좋아하는 분야를 꾸준히 탐구해온 경험을 바탕으로, 취향이 이야기와 세계관으로 확장되는 과정을 전한다.
김민경은 민음사 해외문학팀 편집자로, 책과 출판을 중심으로 다양한 문화 콘텐츠를 소개해왔다. 책, 만화, 영화 등 좋아하는 것을 읽고 보고 나누는 경험을 통해 취향이 일상에 더하는 즐거움과 의미를 이야기한다.
○ 참가신청은 9월 중으로 열릴 예정입니다.

■ 레퍼런스 라이브러리 2026 프로그램 소개
서울시립 미술아카이브 레퍼런스 라이브러리는 책을 매개로 미술에 대한 사유와 경험을 확장하는 시각예술 전문 도서 공간입니다. 책을 통해 다양한 예술의 실천을 만나며 미술의 안과 밖을 넓게 살펴봅니다.
올해부터는 레퍼런스 라이브러리의 새로운 프로그램, 〈책생각들〉, 〈책생활들〉, 〈책시선들〉 을 진행합니다.
〈책생각들〉은 기획자, 작가, 연구자들이 각자의 시선으로 책을 분류하고 짧은 글을 더해, 미술을 새롭게 바라보는 감각을 제안합니다. 〈책생활들〉은 폭넓은 분야의 도서를 저자와 함께 읽으며, 다양한 형식을 통해 읽기의 방식을 확장하고 서로 연결되는 경험을 만들어갑니다. 〈책시선들〉은 동시대 미술의 담론과 이론을 다루는 책을 필자, 역자 등과 함께 읽으며, 책과 작품, 사회를 잇는 시선을 탐색합니다. 이를 통해 미술을 읽는 다양한 시선과 감각을 함께 나누고자 합니다.

Check — Lives is a public program that uses books as a starting point for conversations about diverse perspectives and ways of living in the contemporary world.
The 2026 Check — Lives explores the delight of encountering unfamiliar cities and the lasting joy of nurturing one's passions. Through Jiyoon Kim and Eunhwan Jeun's stories from cities around the globe, and JongBeom Lee and Kim Min-Gyeong's reflections shaped by their personal interests and experiences, the program invites participants to expand their perspectives and discover new inspiration in everyday life.
■ Session 1 : Book Lives with Jiyoon Kim & Eunhwan Jeun: Taste and Ways of Living
The first session of the 2026 series features Kim Jiyoon and Jeon Eunhwan, co-authors of The Cities We Loved. Drawing on the book, they will reflect on the landscapes, cultures, histories, and everyday lives of cities around the world, while sharing the diverse perspectives through which they view urban life and the personal experiences that have shaped those perspectives.

Jiyoon Kim is a political scientist and knowledge-based content creator who communicates politics, history, culture, and other subjects in accessible ways. In Cities We Loved, she offers new ways of reading cities through the lenses of politics, history, and culture.
Eunhwan Jeun is a former executive at Samsung Electronics who has built a long career in global business strategy. She is currently engaged in various knowledge-based content activities and communicates with the public based on broad interests spanning politics, history, and culture.

- A book that has shaped your outlook on life (please bring your own copy). During the program, participants will have time to read either the book they have brought or a book selected from the Reference Library shelves.

- A “Reference Library pencil” will be given to participants who attend the program after advance registration.
■ Session 2 : Book Lives with JongBeom Lee & Kim Min-Gyeong: Taste and Ways of Living
This session explores how we discover, cultivate, and share our personal interests. Drawing on the experiences of two guests who have continually pursued their passions in film, comics, books, travel, and beyond, the conversation considers the joy and meaning that personal interests bring to everyday life. Together, participants will discuss how engaging deeply with what we love and sharing those interests with others can enrich our lives through a variety of “enthusiast” practices.

○ Author / Invited Guest : JongBeom Lee & Kim Min-Gyeong
JongBeom Lee is the creator of the long-running webtoon Dr. Frost. Drawing on his sustained interests in comics, music, and other cultural fields, he reflects on how personal passions can develop into storytelling and world-building.
Kim Min-Gyeong is an editor on the International Literature Team at Minumsa Publishing Group. Through books, publishing, comics, films, and other cultural media, she explores how reading, watching, and sharing what we love adds joy and meaning to everyday life.

■ Reference Library Program
The Reference Library at AA SeMA is a specialized visual art library that expands artistic thought and experience through books. It engages with diverse artistic practices and offers a broader view of art, both within and beyond the field itself.
Beginning this year, the Reference Library presents three new programs: Check—Minds, Check—Lives, Check—Views.
Check—Minds invites curators, artists, and researchers to classify books from their own perspectives and add short texts, offering new ways of seeing art. Check—Lives brings readers together with authors to explore books from a wide range of fields, expanding the practice of reading through diverse formats and creating opportunities for connection. Check—Views centers on books that engage major discourses and theories in contemporary art, bringing readers into conversation with authors, translators, and other contributors to explore perspectives that connect books, artworks, and society. Through these programs, the Reference Library hopes to share a wider range of sensibilities and perspectives for reading art.
